Video transcript:

Hi, my name is Josh Patterson.

I go to Notre Dame high school and I’ve been doing an internship with Career Ready with Morton in the Community for the past four weeks.

During my four weeks here. I’ve learned more about the football for all side of Morton, through the inservice days we’ve done to prepare ourselves for oncoming events.

I’ve also learned a lot more about the more than football side through the Life Skills cafe, team talk, and, near enough just everything that I’ve been doing here.

I’ve also learned more about the staff and what we all actually do here

We’ve all got our own roles, and they’re all very important to what we all do here.

And personally, I’ve improved on my own patience, seeing as I’m working with kids over the past four weeks.

I’ve also learned to speak in front of a crowd with more confidence and learned more about myself and how I can get myself ready for big events.

During my last four weeks here at Morton, I’ve been included in many of the summer camps. I’ve learned more about football memories and team talk, which will be very, very beneficial to me because it’s helped me understand more about Morton in the Community.

A few of the things I’ve enjoyed during my four weeks.

Has mainly been coaching at the summer camps. It’s helped me to find a new career path, for my future, if, as kind of a backup.

I have also really enjoyed Team Talk, getting to meet all the people there and how it would benefit them all as well as that, Football memories. It’s really beneficial to people because it’s mainly the older people with dementia, and we would bring out old memorabilia to help rejuvenate their memory.

So to round up, these last four weeks at Morton in the Community have been absolutely amazing.

I’ve learned more things about myself, and I’ve learned new things that I couldn’t get anywhere else.

It’s amazing how beneficial it really is to the community, and how it can help people that don’t even know they need it.
