We’re proud to be working with Bupa Foundation to launch an internship investment initiative to boost social mobility and diversity in the third sector. The funding will enable eligible charities to host young people for paid internships during the summer holidays.
What we’re doing
Future talent for the
charity sector
Our mission is to open up the charity sector to young people from diverse backgrounds and boost social mobility in the sector by empowering smaller charities to provide paid internships.
Charities with an income of less than £5 million can apply to receive full funding to host a young person on the Career Ready programme for a paid, four-week internship from Monday 11 July to Friday 5 August 2022.
The deadline to apply is Friday 18 March
How it works
Internship Investment
Our internships are held in the summer holidays between schools years 12/13 and the funding will ensure that 17 young people, aged 16-17, can be paid at the UK Living Wage for four weeks (35 hours per week).
Funding is available for charities or social enterprises with an income of less than £5million who wouldn’t other been able to fund a paid internship placement themselves. But with the aim that they’re able to provide their own internship in 2023.
The deadline to apply is Friday 18 March.
