Workplace visits
Employers and volunteers
Workplace visits are an exciting and time-sensitive way for you to help young people develop the knowledge, insight, and inspiration needed to transition from education to rewarding employment. Hearing their reactions to your own working environment can also make you see your own business in a new light.
How they work
Workplace visits are a simple but effective way to bridge the gap between school and the world of work.
Visits usually start with a tour of the workplace followed by a workshop or talk. In these workshops, you can showcase anything from your recent product innovation, how you serve customers to career opportunities and the nature of your business in the community.
Given the current situation we are looking at how best we can deliver workplace visits digitally.
Workplace visits last approximately 1-2 hours and involve a group of young people who are accompanied by a member of school staff.
