The Bupa Foundation, a charity funded entirely by Bupa, has been a valued Career Ready partner since 2021. In that time, together we’ve unlocked young talent, transformed lives, and helped Bupa in its mission to be a purpose-led employer.

Since the launch of our partnership, Career Ready and The Bupa Foundation have worked together to support young people through paid internships, mentoring, skills masterclasses, career insight sessions, and workplace visits.

This year, 39 Bupa employees have become mentors providing one-to-one support for sixth-form students – while supporting them to apply for internships, University degrees and entry-level job roles. And after seeing the impact of hosting three interns in 2021, Bupa has significantly scaled up its internship programme for 2022. This summer, 37 students on the Career Ready programme will gain vital, paid work experience.

In addition, thanks to the support of The Bupa Foundation, we launched an internship investment initiative to boost social mobility and diversity in the third sector.

Research shows that Generation Z are attracted to businesses with social value. Through our partnership, we’ve supported Bupa in creating the inclusive, purpose-driven workplaces needed to help attract young talent.

Through our our range of programme activities, Bupa have also been able to provide rewarding volunteering opportunities for their team, helping to boost staff wellbeing by making a difference in their local community.
